I became a therapist because I believe deeply in people's capacity to grow — even when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or disheartening. I was drawn to couples therapy after seeing too many relationships struggle under the weight of miscommunication, disconnection, and a lack of understanding. I believe many couples give up before they have had the opportunity to truly hear one another, rebuild empathy, and learn healthier ways of navigating conflict.

My path to this work wasn't a straight line. Before earning my MFT, I spent years working in education — as a teacher and in family support roles. That work gave me a front-row seat to how much the inner world and family systems shape everything else: how we learn, how we connect, how we cope.

On a personal note, I have been with my husband and best friend, for nearly 30 years, and together we have raised two wonderful daughters who are now building lives of their own. Along my journey, I have navigated identity shifts, moves, new cultures, career changes, parenting, grief, friendships, and the ongoing work of building a healthy marriage. These experiences have taught me that growth often comes through embracing these transitions, sometimes with grace and sometimes with tears. That is the journey.
